My Family

We are a family of 3: my husband Abimael, me, and our Toy Poodle, Sully.

We got married on May 15, 2023. I am of Peruvian and Colombian descent, while Abimael is Dominican. Now we share delicious Caribbean and South American dishes at our family gatherings. During our wedding, we decided to seal the deal by making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich together.

In April 2024, we welcomed Sully into our family! We named him after the sweet and gentle blue monster from “Monsters, Inc.,” one of our favorite Disney movies. Since then, he has brought so much joy and craziness into our lives. He has also been my faithful study buddy!

Growing up, my immediate family consisted of my mom, my sister, and my maternal grandparents. My mom raised me as a single parent, and my grandparents played a crucial role in my upbringing, helping to care for me while my mom worked and finished her bachelor’s degree. My little sister was born in 2012, and I still can’t believe she is already 13!
